C3 Pictorial Volume - recommendations
I'm hoping to take delivery of a 73 coupe that appears in decent shape but I can tell that the previous owner rigged pretty much anything he touched.
Thanks!

Congrats with the 73, my favourite year.
There are a few part suppliers like Willcox who has a very good video&picture section on his website covering a lot of frequent issues and he is very active on the forum, docrebuild has very good wiring diagrams showing the components where the wires attach to.
Then there are many members who have done a restoration and have masses of photos, for example Alan. On my photobucket site there are nearly 800 pictures of the resto. Aim & service manuals are a must to have.
If you ask the question here, chances are that someone will have a picture of it.
Gl,
Nick
I would recommend the 73 AIM (73 Assembly Instruction Manual) and the 1973-74 Technical Information Manual & Judging Guide to answer a lot of your questions.
Here is a link of what is available for C3's from the NCRS. You don't need to be a member to purchase any of these. Most of these items are available from other sources as well (ebay, Amazon, etc.).

73 Coupe AC car...obvious heater core problems...AC compressor removed (hope the coils are ok)...not sure if original motor (14010207 39 GM K70) but it's obvious the manifold and carb are not original. Hood looks aftermarket but presentable. Tail lights look bogus. Haven't had good access to birdcage but frame looks great and no crunching or flaking rust when pounding in the prescribed areas.
Motor MAY have issues as it was last towed to current resting place u
last Nov. (seller say it's "blown"), the fluids look okay so hoping it's rebuildable...
I'd be buying it as a "pig in a poke". Here are a few pics. Assuming it need a motor rebuild, I'd love price opinions.
Thanks again!

I believe your thought about the owner doing things his way is pretty apparent in the engine compartment.
The pictures of the rear chassis look like he didn't like to work under the car so left things alone.
Is the frame or birdcage rusty?
What are your plans for it?
I think the 73 Assembly Instruction Manual, the 73 Chassis Service Manual, and the VetteVues 73-74 Fact Book will become your close friends.
$2500/$3000 if it's not at all rusty?
Regards,
Alan

Oh, and I plan to keep it as a driver and tweak it towards orginality as time, talent and $$$ allows...
