Sorry for the hijack, but..
On my'73 project, the car came with some aftermarket race seats. Tossed those and bought some C3 seats that didn't have the thru slots for the belts.
I'd like to know where you got the seat back slots Paul. I think I can open the solid front trim piece.
Steve
Let me have a look. I redid the entire seats. Top to bottom. I must have an invoice somewhere.
Who knows Mike; anything can happen in 40 years. I'm the 2nd owner and 48,000 miles on clearly the original carpet and seat materials (being replaced this winter). I had the driver seat out in the spring to replace a broken pivot bolt and didn't see a trace of a plug or sensor.

If the '72s didn't have them I'd suggest that it might have been a production change sometime during the year, but that's not the case.

How about the passenger seat?
I'm doing a complete interior refresh over the winter (seats carpet and door panels), so, if I see the plugs I will reconnect them. I had to pull the cover back to remove the broken bolt on the driver seat and sure didn't see anything there. Can't imagine why the PO would have removed the whole shebang, but, you never know.

I pulled the seats today and you are right. The passenger seat does have the plug and switch, however, no trace of either on the driver side.
