68 speedometer with speed warning question???

68 speedometer with speed warning question???
I am in the process of rebuilding my speedometer for my 68 and it has the speed warning option on it. Can someone please explain to me how it works? Looking at it as I clean it, I just don't understand how it's supposed to operate? Thanks, Jason

Turn the pointer to the speed you want. Speedo will beep if you exceed the speed.
The AIM shows the installation. Can't recall specifically, but the owner's manual probably tells you how it works.
