Has anyone done the A/C delete and used the AGM cover ?

How difficult would you say the project was ?

This rookie is guessing "done in a day".....not difficult---just time-consuming.

I have yet to buy the cover but I did delete a/c b/c ALL of.it was junk anyway. All my lines compressor heater core blower motor ect all fried. I will say this it took me about four hours but.it sucked mine pissed me off so I took a mini sledge and a large chisel and beat the firewall housing to pieces to get it out. If it comes apart like it should not a bad project but if your bolts are broken seized rusted or won't come apart then just keep your patients

Ya I am installing stepped headers , big tubes 2" .. And I just did EZ EFI . I was thinking the room would clean it all up nice and possibly I can run the cold air intake over to the side inlet below that giant A/C contraption once it is gone.. I run tops off no need for a/c even on a hot day.

When I removed my 77 ac system, I put in a used non air heater box from an earlier year car and then fiber-glassed the rest of the opening in. Cheap, clean and it looks like it's always been there. Put a valve in the hose to keep the heat out during summer also.

The PIA for me was locating the resistor block. You also have to salvage a couple parts from the old "suit case" like the steel ring that holds in the blower motor. It was not a real "quick" job for me. All was done under the hood though, you do not need to remove the dash.

Here's a little incentive for you. Look at all that wide open space. I used the ACdelete cover. I eliminated the heater hoses too.

Installing my AC Delete was straight forward install for me. It really cleaned up the engine compartment. I'm glad to be rid of the eyesore, it never worked from the day I bought the car. My issue is, how to run the wiring. Hopefully someone will explain how they made their A/C harness work on the A/C Delete.
