So I want to replace the hood light inside of my engine compartment.
The old one was hanging inside of the engine so I didn't have anything to follow. It looks like it should be mounted just above the bracket on the drivers side of the hood. I see two holes one with some rubber one without.
Someone may want to correct me but it looks like it is held in by wellnuts. These are cylindrical rubbers that fit in the hood hole that expand when you tighten a screw in them something like a drywall plastic plug. Looks like you are missing one of them.
wellnuts are the correct way to mount them. I was to use the white plastic license plate screw brackets from the "HELP" rack at my local parts store in place of the well nuts. With the light mounted, you'd never know I used incorrect fasteners.
