I have a Corvette distributor that came off a 1974 Corvette motor. It is cast iron.
Also it's missing the band around the distributor. How can I tell for sure what year it is and for what motor. It does have 068 stamped on the side of the casting. I do want to sell it but I'd like to know more about it before I sell it.
Thanks for your help.
69 up had a hole in the side wall... visible from the outside. 62-68 did not have this hole. We need cores, what are you looking to get out of this?
It does have this hole that's in your pic. I took it off a 1974 Corvette 350 motor. But I know that doesn't mean it's a 74.
Anyway I need a points distributor for my 67 Camaro SS 350. So I'm looking to buy or trade this distributor for a good usable or rebuilt points distributor. The part number I would need is 1111168. Although I don't have to have that number, Any good usable distributor will work for me. You can also make me a reasonable offer on the Corvette ditributor.
Thanks
If it has the hole, it will work for 69-74. I'll have to check tomorrow to see if I have the camaro distributor. Possible!!! I won't be there till later in the day. If you don't mind email me at support@Willcoxcorvette.com.

OK Sounds good. Also the hole in the distributor that I have is different than your pic. If you want I can take a pic of my distributor and send it to your e-mail address above.
Thanks
awe... I'm a major fail. We sold off a bunch of passenger car stuff about four years ago. Kevin looked today and we don't have any passenger car cores...
