Hi Everyone I am the proud new first time vet owner of a 1969 convertible that the previous owner had to get rid of. The car is 85-90% through a frame on restoration almost ready to paint (I am going to have my bodywork guy over to take a good look at it). I am looking for reference material, repair manuals wiring diagrams and any other suggestions would be helpful.

Do you have an owner's manual? First thing to do is to read through it. If you intend to do some of the work yourself, the assembly instruction manual (AIM) and GM chassis service maual will be helpful. Any of the coffee table Corvette history books will have the 69s in them.

These are good:

If you are considering possibly having the car judged, you may want to consider joining the National Corvette Restorers' Society. http://www.ncrs.org/

Welcome.

Great places to start.

The NCRS has valuable information in their Technical Information Manual and Judging Guide. Also, for part numbers, Alan Colvin has a book: Corvette by the Numbers. This book covers major drivetrain part numbers and the date coding systems used.
