Default Need Help - 1978 Pace Car Wheels

I'm currently looking at a complete set of 1978 Pace Car wheels that the seller says are new never mounted GM original equipment and still has original boxes. How can I tell if these are original or reproductions? They are out-of-state so I've only seen pics. Lastly, the seller is asking $1200 for the entire set - which seems to good to be true. Any thoughts or advice greatly appreciated! Merry Christmas to all CF members.

If nothing else make sure the BACK side looks like this and says "Kelsey Hayes, Mexico".....
The triangles between the stud holes may be a little more rounded.

NOT LIKE THIS, Repro.......

Kelsey-Hayes made the originals. It is my understanding Western makes the reproductions and made service replacement wheels for GM. My hunch would be "new, never mounted" could be service replacement wheels. Ask the seller what he/she has, K-H or Western.

Are you absolutely set on "original" wheels? The reproductions are very nice and less than $1,200.

Paul: Where did you buy the wheels you have on the car now? (Can't find the thread from several years ago where you told about the new wheels and tires)
