I agree. I dont think these are factory standard for the vette.

Corvette Trivia: no C3 factory valve covers had scripts on them. All were plain stamped steel or the LT1-L82 type.

Judging from everything else shown in the picture, I'm doubting there's much of anything factory there.

L82 would have the finned alum covers that were painted Black that year with the top edge of the fins not painted.
Repro or new GM alum covers can be bought already painted ready to install from all the major corvette parts supply houses.
I think the L82 may have had a blue painted intake that year , possibly aluminum .
