Well I have been hunting around for a paint shop to give her a new coat. She will be staying the original black that the 79's came in. However, every where I look I have been getting quotes in the 15k-20k range and honestly I am just not ready to be tossing that kinda of money into a paint job right now. Do any of y'all know of places that will do a decent paint job for a quarter of the price? Or should I just take the leap and do the paint job myself?
Like the bumpers are faded and the body just has some spider webbing and cracking in the paint.
I had my '71 painted by T&A collision in Sachse. They did a great job. I gave it to them in primer and they did paint, color sanding and polishing. Tim, the owner, has a '71 Corvette, btw. I also had them do collision repair on my daily driver and they did a first class job. Every time I've been there, there's plenty of old muscle cars having work done. 972-496-0302.

Thanks I gave them a call and will go get a quote on Saturday.
bring it up to Mo., we have a great body shop that does fabulous work for many big restro's like 63s, 67's & my 76. They charge by the hour plus materials, not real cheap, but does excellent work!
Well it turns out that I was able to locate the number for the guy that painted my mom's nova a couple years ago. I ultimately decided to let him do the job. So now begins the long wait! Will post pictures when she is done!
