Default Silverstone Silver Paint Code

I passed the following info onto my painter:

"Silverstone Silver, GM Code WA3796, PPG Code 8596; Also known as Inca Silver Mist for Buick; and Peruvian Silver for the 1968 Hurst Olds"

He did a search on the code and came up with Astral Silver Metallic. I did a quick search on Astral Silver and came up with few Mercedes, Isuzu and GM uses of the name.

Any help?

Try TCP Global. They list the 986 paint code as PPG 8596 in their line of classic paint products.
You can get it in Acrylic Enamel, Urethane, Lacquer and base/clear.http://www.tcpglobal.com/aclchip.asp...rolet-pg01.jpg
The 68 Silverstone Silver leans a little more to the grey side when compared to the 69 Cortez Silver.

Many thanks! I thought I had the correct code info but his response had me concerned. He uses PPG paint and it looks like he looked up code 3796 which show a mid '90s Astral Silver used on trucks and vans.

I've never seen Silverstone in bc/cc and have been debating this for quite some time.
