Default Old school Mags

Have had this set of mags for a while now. I decided to clean one up and polish it up. This is what I started with an hour or so later I got this shiny rim. Big improvement !A little elbow grease goes a long way. 1 down 3 to go. 15 x 8 for front 15 x 10 for the rear.

I have the same ones as well on my 66. They don't stay shiny very long. The aluminum re-oxidizes pretty quick. Ask me how I know.

Nice wheels! A lot of work, but well worth the effort.
Flitz polish is the best I've found for aluminum. I used it to clean this old barn find. It was pretty corroded when I got it.

Dang that looks great! Always had a weakness for aluminum slots and Keystones on C3s. I'd love to get a set of big 'n little Keystones for my '77.

I grew quickly tired of trying to shine mine (magnesium?) so I did a quick shine on the lips and shot the centers black.

Nice job cleaning and polishing up the rim. Post up a pic when you get them back on the car.

Mine are either 15x7 or 8. They fit great except for the rear that required very minor clearancing for the calipers. So minor that they still rotated fine but could just hear them contacting and left witness marks. A few minutes with an angle grinder fixed it.
