Intermittent Wiper Question
Hi All,
I took my '79 for a spin today. It started to rain a little, and my wipers work on high and low speed. But, when I put it on the intermittent position, they move up on to the window, but they don't wipe.
It's not a big deal, I don't usually go out in the rain, I was just wondering how to fix it. Is it the switch itself, or is something else?
Any help is appreciated.

There is an intermittent wiper controller in the passenger side storage compartment. In all likelihood that's your issue. You can get replacements from a couple of the vendors.
There is also a bypass plug that you can get from Lectric Limited but it will only give you high and low, which you already have. Usually when the controller fails, your wipers don't work at all.
Until they stared reproducing these, working controllers were impossible to find.

It's under the console
On a '79, the intermittent wiper controller is under the center console just ahead of the HVAC controls.
The electronic replacements from Willcox have the best reviews. I replaced the relay on my controller with no benefit and have a new electronic unit waiting to be installed.
