New member. I just purchased a 1970 LT 1 that has been sitting in a barn for 39 years that appears to be a Motion car as it has large GT back window flared fenders 6 tail lights ,had side pipes . I have contacted Joel Rosen and paid him but at this point it doesn't look like he has much .I am in the process of restoring the car. It also has the L88 hood and is a #s matching LT1 with M22 trans ,front and rear sway bars ,American Racing Daytona style wheels .If anyone knows where i can get any other information to help me document my car please let me know .If you e-mail me I can send pictures as I do not know how to post them
thanks Wes 4wesbrenton@att.net

My Classic Car just had an episode on Motion Corvettes. This is just the preview but you can probably find the episode on one of the cable channels. Here's the link:

Start with the seller and get any and all information and/or paperwork he/she may have on the car. Titles, bills of sale, original factory documents, etc. If he/she has it, you want it.
Good luck.

He just sent me some pics of the car, I am no expert but know a bit about BW cars, to me it looks like it could be the real deal, it at least appears to be a BW body kit.
Also I remembered there was a guy, maybe in Sudbury MA who specialized in researching a specific cars' history. I know I have seen information about this person posted here and naturally cant find it on google right now...
If you don't own this yet, get it. A must read from a guy who was there.

Look for non stock holes on the firewall (CD ignition box), in the trans tunnel (over drive lever), and on the frame rails (Dupree fuel pump(s)), and maybe some unusual brackets under the rear spring pad and some more around 18" forward (traction bar).
Post your pictures here so everyone can be exposed to the info and more people can be helpful.
If you get enough positive reaction that your car could be a Motion car I believe for a substantial fee you can contact Mr Motion Joel Rosen and he will research his records to verify the car's authenticity.
Motion cars are like snowflakes, no two alike, tailored to the individual purchasers pocketbook. If you look at pictures of all 12 Phase III GTs you'll notice two different gas lids, 4 different tail light treatments, headers and side pipes or '69 factory style covers, diamond tucked interiors vs. stock, and on and on. When you are dealing with a Motion modded Corvette (meaning someone just had it worked on there) EVERYTHING was ala carte. The car in question is a small block car (all the Phase III's were big blocks). Anyway, another Phase III GT.
