Default Need help working on your C3?

Hey Gang, I've had my 73 now for almost 2 years and when I bought her, I was planning on fixing her up but she just doesn't need much work. If there is anyone who lives around Riverside, CA and would like some help working on their baby, I'm willing to help.
I've wrenched on cars for around 25 years so I know how to do a lot of different repairs. If you need some help... let me know.

Nice of you to offer Scott.

San Diego's a bit out of your way, but if you ever get down around here, and it coinsides with a 383 engine swap (maybe this fall), it would be greatly appreciated.

Sounds like fun... Please keep me in mind when your looking to set up a time. My Vette loves to drive south to the beach.

I'm thinking about pulling the heads of my 73 for some valve work. Would be nice to have someone with a little more experience, (in that area) helping.

Sounds like a great weekend C3 gathering/clinic/ opportunity, Steve. BTW, Conrad also lives in Riverside. If you line this up, I'll bring the refreshments

I'm in Columbus, OH and neck deep in a body off on my 72' coupe, and would love to have some guys around that are as nut's about these cars as I am.

Well I have been known to drive to Santa Barbara on occasion to have brunch. Great little place on the beach there, Shoreline Cafe.

Meanwhile, back to the thread , , , ,
At one point there was some discussion about having a reoccurring / regular car clinic type get together, but that was all it was, just a discussion.

Any thoughts on this??

This is the kind of stuff that made me really happy being in a Corvette club many years ago. There were a bunch of us about the same age, and in the same situation with cars. They were old, they broke occasionally, and we all needed help.

We all bonded really tight.

it is good to see this type of thing still going on and I bet you find that there are several around that will accept your offer and end up offering you time and help, too.

Back in the day, I used to belong to a Buick club and the local chapter would have a "Clinic" day about every 6 weeks. Each time we had a clinic day, at least ten to twelve cars would show up. So, this type of event does work.
Scott has already graciously offered his expertise and time, so I will too.
