Any C3 owners in Nashville? I've been to the local Corvette Club meetings a couple times... and though they are very nice people, they appear to be primarily C5 and C6 owners. In fact, I went to their annual show in September and not one C3. Would be nice to find a community of C3 owners to hang with.

Finding a Corvette [only] club with C1/C2/C3 cars is pretty rare. You might look for a more general model car club that has mostly 1950-80 cars. At least, they like to do work on their cars.

I visited the Tullahoma (TN) club and found the same thing - almost exclusively C5 and C6 owners. They were nice enough but doubt I will go back.

Food for thought: why not join, be the only C3 driver, and the envy of your fellow club members?

I live in Nashville and co-own an '82 Collector's Edition with 27K miles. My Dad is the "primary" owner; the car is presently in the Atlanta area.

Sorry to hear the local chapters are just late model 'vettes. They obviously don't know what they are missing!

Being the 'odd man out' in a late-model Corvette Club is not as "envious" as some might think. Been there...done that!

Late-model Corvette folks just like to 'polish the apple', go on weekend trips, and party down. If that trips your trigger, by all means, have at it. But, if you like to do mechanical work on your car, very few of those club members will be able to advise and/or assist. You will be looked upon as the 'uninvited guest'....even if you were invited.
