Default Should i buy it

Found this beautiful little gem down the street at the dealership and wondering if it's a good deal for 12k. Or should i just hold off for now and keep waiting for a cheaper/better one to appear. I'd like to eventually do an LS1 swap something down the road but i've always loved that c3 design and wouldn't mind daily driving this little gem with it's current setup right now.

If you have to ask...
It is black, though! Do your homework (forum search etc.) before you buy.

If your not sure make a low offer where you feel comfortable and stick to your number.

Looks very clean and well-kept. Engine is very original. Of course no pics of the underneath. But if a mechanical inspection pans out that would a nice car for $10,000.

If you want to swap out the drivetrain, why not look for a car with a good body and interior, but a worn-out drivetrain. You could pick that up for about half that money and then have what you want by adding in the difference????

You also need to know the condition of the frame and mechanicals on the car....

This is tough, I bought a 78 that was rough and started throwing $$ at it. built a SBC for it, brakes, steering etc

I will have a brand new car that is the color I want and will be in it for < the asking price on that one.

if you can get it checked out the maybe but seems like a lot of $$ to me

This would seem to be the better way to go.

It looks like an otherwise nice 78. Asking price might be a little high, but there is a dealer involved.

Good luck.

Well think i'm just gonna keep on waiting, thanks for the advice everyone. Would have had to get rid of my other fun project car for it to have space in my garage anyways. Dealership were being dicks about it too, required a $500 deposit just to test drive it.

If anyone sees a similar one for about 8k in the houston area though, let me know
