Default Hood emblems

Hey before I go trying to pry off my hood emblems on my 75 coupe are they pined on or stick on. The side stingray emblems are stick on so is the hood the same. I see where there is a panel on the back side of hood that can be removed with a couple of bolts. Is that where I gain access to the emblems.
Thanks scott

Use some unwaxed dental floss to 'saw' the adhesive from under that emblem. It won't hurt the paint. You should clean the area really well so there isn't any dirt to get into the floss. And you might use a hair dryer (heat gun may cause damage to emblem and/or paint) to warm the adhesive up some.

I think that's a function of whether Bubba had something to do with it.

I just added new emblems to my '76. The Stingray side emblems had adhesive but the hood emblem didn't. So I put one speed nut on each of the side emblems and two on the hood emblem's posts. The point is: before you do any dental flossing, prying or praying, you might want to check to see if there are retainers or nuts on your emblem posts.

Bubba. Signing off now.

Take a peek. If speed nuts were used on the emblems, you'll see them.

Replaced the hood emblem on my 73 and that one had speed nuts.
Crawl under and have a look , easier to see with the headlights up.

Latch the hood with your knuckles instead of your fingertips.

The 75-76 nose emblem has threaded studs on the back that take nuts (1/4x20 I think).
