Per a recommendation from a Forum Moderator (Vettebuyer5869), I'm posting this inquiry on the C3 General Forum.
Joe Crosby, owner of Neil Armstrong's 1967 Corvette posted recently looking for current owners of Corvettes leased to Astronauts during the years 62-71 (approx) as he is interested in maintaining the legacy of the program during the emerging space years. I replied to his post explaining that I own what is reportedly Buzz Aldrin's 1970. I worked at Kennedy Space Center for a number of years and purchased the '70 from my roommate in 1972, who had purchased it from one of the Kennedy Space Center employees who picked it up at after Aldrin returned it to Jim Rathmann Chevrolet at the completion of his lease. I'm working on authenticating that ownership thru my previous roommate, and Mr. Crosby, but am also seeking additional help or advice on methods to verify that it was Aldrin's. If anyone has any helpful information on methods to determine ownership, please reply to this post or feel free to contact me at rbruce97520@gmail.com.
