The 69 that I sold had a build date of Feb 14 so yesterday I missed it and on a great day like today I wish I could take it out for a spin unfortunately it is in cold Montreal so I know the new owner doesn't have it out.
That's a pretty car and I know how you feel. We had a red/black '68 convertible a few years ago that we traded for a newer corvette and regretted that trade everyday after that. I don't know where ours ended up but I wish it was back in our garage today.
this story has caused me to create the rarest of all things known to man ..."Man Tears" I feel for you and cannot know the loss you are dealing with . But from this Valentines day forward I will think of you my friend, May Zora be with you!
Having a Steel Cities Gray car waiting in the wings, would help to ease MY pain and suffering, if I was in your shoes. I also agree that the '69 is a classy color combo especially considering it's born-on date.
Meanwhile, you can be comforted that it sleeps protected through the cold season, up in the Great White North.
Not that it's any of my business but, I think I would have preferred the car you sold over the '72.
Although the 69 was a real nice car it was not very street-able with the 4:11's and solid lifters and 11:1 compression. The big thing for the 72 is it is a convertible and if I want to take it on a road trip I can and also living in Scottsdale the weather makes it nice for a cruising.
