Default Ecklers

Hey Guys,

I need to order some parts for my car and wanted to know if Ecklers gives any discounts for forum members. Or any other discount codes that you know.

Thanks.

Not that I'm know of. I'll kick myself if they do and I haven't been aware of it.

Wilcox has a forum members only price list. Corvette America, Corvette Central, Zip, etc offers specials on shipping and discounts around holidays.

Ecklers has a Buyer Club that will save you 10% on your orders. them a couple time a month they send out emails with 15-20% codes on orders of $250. C/s and tech supports at Ecklers is awesome.

I haven't dealt with Willcox, bought seats for 3 cars that came from Corvette America.

It just depends on what you need and who offers it.

Ive got an email that says 15% off the rest of the month from Ecklers on body parts. Coupon code FER.

However, like others have said, I'll bet that Wilcox could match or beat all offers in most cases anyway.

I avoid Ecklers. I needed a cooling expansion tank cap and they wanted $10.50 shipping for a $13 part that probably weighs less than 1/2 pound. Decided they needed it worse than I did and have never ordered from them since and have no intention of ever ordering from them.

I have had really good experiences with Ecklers this winter. I have used them and Zips for my winter rebuild parts and have been thrilled with both. Parts get here before I can even sign off the computer...OK, not that fast, but two to three days max. They both will continue to get my business in the future.

I am on their mailing lists, so I see the discounts as they happen...worked out to my advantage several times this year.

I've ordered a bunch of parts from most of them and have found that you have to figure shipping time in if your in a hurry. I'll only order from Willcox IF I have the time to wait for the stuff to get here, usually about 2 weeks on most parts.

if your ordering brake or fuel lines from them, be prepared to wait at least a month for them.

I checked willcox and the they don't several of the parts I need. So instead of ordering from 2 or 3 different vendors I was going to order from one.

I have bought lots of parts from Ecklers in the past without any issues. I usually make a list of the parts I need and buy when a discount is available.

I like Ecklers. Their site is very easy to navigate. I paid $30 and I get their discount for a year. It has already paid for itself.

I also buy a lot from Willcox, some from Zip, some from CC. It is good to have multiple places to shop and compare.

As with ANY mail-order supplier, make sure you know EXACTLY what you want and that you order the correct item. Otherwise, it gets expensive to return stuff.

I bought a 68 project car that came with a new Ecklers L88 long style hood. Nothing on this hood lines up anywhere on the car. Glad I did not spend my money for this one. Have one on order from VFN Fiberglass. The comparison showdown will be very interesting. My jury is still out on Ecklers fiberglass.
