Default Differential codes?

I have a 1977 L48 with a manual transmission. Just curious about the rear end. The code stamped on the bottom is OA 2 33 W 7 E 1. From what I've been able to find out so far is that it's a 3.08 posi, but I'm wondering about the manufacture date. My C3's build date is September 1, 1976. Can anyone help me out with this?

Thanks

I would decode it as being built on the 233rd day, in the Warren plant, in 1977, Eaton posi, on the 1st shift.

but that would mean it was built in August of 77 not 76. Both years use the OA designation. Are you the original owner? maybe it was changed?

No, I'm not the original owner. It's possible that it may have been changed. Everything else matches up, engine, transmission. It has the factory alarm switch in the fender and doesn't have the crossed flags on the fenders. The trim tag shows B 01. That would be September 1, 1976, right?

According to the paperwork that I have shows that it was first registered in Arizona in October 1976. The last numbers of the vin that are the sequence number are just over 402000. I read that the 500 thousandth C3 was produced in May 1977. Maybe the differential was replaced.
