Default interior help

Hi kind of bored here and looking to possibly change the interior color of my car. It is a 76 with a 642 interior code (Buckskin). The car is a dark blue metallic. Sometime the interior has changed color to a Smoke and Oyster. I have purchased new carpets from Al Knoch in dark brown but don't know how I want the rest of the interior to look. Don't know if I will like the buckskin or if I may like the dark brown interior.
I currently have 78 style door panels and hope to change to the 76 style deluxe door panels.
The seats are also 78 style so I will need to keep this in mind for color availability.
any input would be appreciated, along with pictures.

Thanks
-John

Decide on a color first. Can you get to see cars in person with the different colors?

Then get out your phillips screwdriver and take out all the interior panels with that. You can buy color dye for the panels and it is easy to change color. Get seat covers same place as the carpet. Buy door panels to match the interior.

Seems like your main issue is which color to go with, the rest is easy.

your right about taking it apart and dying the interior that's not really the problem LOL up here in the North not many cars out yet so I was hoping to get some photos of members rides posted to see the different shades of brown. I have seen a few going back through a bunch of postings but thought that it may be cool to see a bunch in one spot.
I think I may go with a two tone buck skin and dark brown theme semi custom but using stock materials

Search brown interior or buckskin interior here first. If you don't find much to look at then post a new thread called "Brown Interiors" and ask people to post pics to that.

Should get some help like that one way or another.

Here are some teaser photos I have the Dark Buckskin carpet from Al Knoch with Saddle visors. The interior is pretty much stripped out right now just waiting for a break in the weather to install it all. I will post more photos as things progress.

If not done already put a layer of dynamat down and a layer of frost king on top of that. Very easy with it already apart. Will make the car cooler inside, quieter and more solid feeling.

Search soundproofing or heat barrier here on the forum. You will be glad you did it now with it apart.

I went through Al Knoch for my interior and they did awesome work. Give them a call and they will gladly sent you samples of all the different variations of brown they have. I went with a black and white interior and they sent me samples of different whites they had. Even from newer years vettes until I got what I wanted

what did you do with the OEM asphalt? did you remove it or just add on top of and ad what about the OEM padding everything is still there and indecent shape.
I have read instances both ways to pull it out or others leave it in. I have also read someone even pulling the pad off the new carpet. The brown carpet you see in the photos is the actual carpet I will be using. It is Buckskin for 76 only the 77 Buckskin is actually lighter. Carpet still looks brown to me though.
