Well I got my Max Jax Installed Saturday. Anchors were an issue but went with red heads and so far all is good. Lifted my 76 up and noticed that it could have been moved back a touch. Lowered it down and now the darn thing won't come out of park. Shifter moves freely but isn't moving the linkage on the transmission.
The good news is........"You have a nice lift to check out the problem!"
Crawl under the ca.......errrrr....lift the car/remove the cable end from the transmission shifting arm///try moving the arm manually to see if it's in a bind.....try moving the cable clevis to see if the wire is broken in the cable sheathing---or if it has come aloose from the shifting handle.

Thanks I will give that a try. I need to fix it so I can lift something else! I'll post up som pictures this weekend when I get the mess cleaned up. Damn work gets in the way of everything
[QUOTE=ignatz;1586328038]Care to elaborate on "Anchors were an issue"? That's what keeps the car up in the air!
And "but went with red heads"? What are "red heads"?[/
The first anchor I tried to set with the ones they sent wouldn't set very well so I switched to red head anchors and they set fine. The ones that come with the lift have to be driven against a hard surface to set. Where as the red head you use a setting tool to set them.
I was not happy with the Wej-Its either. I test them periodically. Put two epoxy anchors in where the Wej-Its wouldn't set and wish I'd done the whole job that way.

I thought about going that route also. A concrete guy I know wasn't thrilled about those anchors either. He suggested the others so that is why I went with those.

From what I read.....Redhead is a brand-name....the anchor-bolts are much longer and stronger which will allow you to drill a deeper hole into the concrete for the Redhead anchors to "grab" into the concrete better than shorter anchors which were provided with the Lift Kit.

Yes and it is easier to set them
Well took off the top plate by the shifter and the cable was attached so I am assuming the cable is broke somewhere in between. Will lift it up tomorrow and make sure the arm on the transmission moves

Don't get delirious and drag out the floor jack and jackstands!
