Default Part Identification

Hey guys. I hope someone can tell me what these are on my C3. I can't find anything in the manual. I need to get the shop book and the AIM book and soon.
Any parts in question:
This part is on top of the wiper motor near the ignition shield. A vacuum line on it is broken. I see the line but I am wondering what this is for. I was thinking windshiled washers?

This one is a switch in the interior in the drivers side footwell. It has 3 positions.

Thanks!

The broken line goes to the windshield washer reservoir. The pump pulls the fluid in using this line. The other two smaller lines should go to the windshield wipers.

Not sure which year C3 you are talking about? The three position switch may be for a rear window defroster (early C3's were located there, but had a different type switch. I'm not sure what late C3 style switches looked like.) or possibly an "aftermarket" switch for something.

Second pic is for your rear window defogger.

Thanks on both. My C3 is a 74. I should have added that.

I think that would be for the fan speed for rear defrost off-slow-fast so that would be 3 stage switch

Yep. A 74 owner's manual, too. It tells you about the optional rear window defog switch.
