Anyone ever here of this. I found some old road
maps from them.
maps from them.White Rose was one of the popular filling stations here, back in the old days. They were probably bought out by one of the bigger suppliers. Don't remember which one it was.

Wow, that brings back memories! When I was a teenager the local station was White Rose. It was a Belgian company. I worked there briefly for 50 cents/hr. My memory fails me going back that far but I believe they were bought out by British Petroleum (BP), I remember the signage change, and eventually by Shell as Mike said. When Shell took over that location the building was torn down and Imperial Oil (ESSO) took over. It is still ESSO to this day. But White Rose is a longggggggggg time ago.
I have a few White Rose quart oil cans with the original oil in them, never openend. A buddy of mine found them and gave me some. They are red in colour with silver lettering. I have no idea how old they are.
White Rose oil and gas memorabillia is verry collectable . The older products had a boy holding a blackboard on the logo .
3 years ago I was at an auction where a 48" Boy and Blackboard sign sold for over $4,000.00 .
