I have all my black Corvette money tied up in a black Corvette. Not $55K but sometimes it feels like it.

If so, looks like that is another thing i need fixed. Mine doesn't make a peep.

They came with a REALLY annoying buzzer.

There is a tiny switch inside the steering column that is activated with the key in the ignition and the door open.

The buzzer is also the horn relay if memory serves me.

Horn relay is easy. Taking a column apart can be a challenge.

If you INSIST on paying 55k for a chrome bumper, I can help you out with one that hasn't had a color change.

Another item to be repaired.........

Marc, pick up a copy of the NCRS Performance Verification Manual! Try it on for size, now you'll start having some fun!

PS: Black is nice but I prefer WB

One more thing, if you insist on posting threads about other peoples cars for sale, the following just might apply............Keep it in mind

I will make this very simple: Please read the following:
To recover in a libel or slander suit, the plaintiff must show evidence of four elements: that the defendant conveyed a defamatory message; that the material was published, meaning that it was conveyed to someone other than the plaintiff; that the plaintiff could be identified as the person referred to in the defamatory material; and that the plaintiff suffered some injury to his or her reputation as a result of the communication.

I am putting myself in my shoes when I was still looking for a car and trying to think on WHAT WOULD I DO if I saw this car then?????

The fact that it has the build sheet is HUGE! That was a big deal for me.

But as much as that BLACK looks GREAT and it does!!!!! I am about originality and trying to keep things as they were from the factory. That is just me.

That car came from the factory in War Bonnet. And I think a car in that shape SHOULD be in War Bonnet. That is only my opinion. But, if someone is looking for a 454 that is in tip top shape and has a pedigree this one is out there.

As for the price....if I were a buyer I would deduct the price for a good to great quality paint job to get it back to War Bonnet. I am thinking anywhere between 12K to 15K easy for that.

It is interesting someone here says they hear solid lifters in that video. I do hear that clicking noise but why would someone put in solid lifters in a 454? It can't be right?

This car appears to be one of the very clean ones at a classic car dealership. THIS IS VERY RARE!!!!!!!!!

Perhaps the engine was built to LS6 specs.

I bought my '79 from Steve in December. Call him if you are interested. He is very easy to talk to and very honest. Unfortunately the car was transported from Michigan to New Jersey through all the snow and rock salt and didn't look like the photos when it arrived, but that wasn't his fault. Steve is knowledgeable and goes the extra mile to satisfy the buyer. I was very pleased with my experience with him and wouldn't hesitate to purchase another car from him.

My conversation was VERY brief. It was Steve who answered and he sounded very nice. But, I was interested in only ONE thing. That was price. I will let interested buyers find out more information about the car and they can report back if they like.

As I said before, I simply find this black '71 "fascinating" and thought I would share on the forum.

That annoying buzzer would be music to my ears actually!

I would get that connected as well even though it would be for a performance verification if I so chose to go that route. I just want it to work because it is supposed to.

I just got off the horn with a guy in Miami and we will be setting up a time to bring my car to him for it to be checked out. He is well known around here by the corvette community here it seems. And this is the guy to go to if you are planning on getting a car NCRS judged.

I just learned something else about the car. I only have one T3 headlight on my car. The others are not. Where the heck do I find 42 year old or so original headlights THAT WORKS!!!!!!!

Yeah I am doing a search and such an EASY fix if you can get your hands on them.

I think I will have to put out a shout out on the for sale/wanted forum.

I started a new thread on my problem list. There are several items. But I really want to try to get the easy fix and get points. If you know anyone that has these lights that are in working condition let me know. I am a buyer!

Hello WB:

I am confused about this warning you have put up. To me this isn't simple. If you can clarify this and let me know why you posted this.

I have no idea but I have no clue what you are referring to as you are suggesting someone is guilty of slander in this thread.

Thanks for the clarification.
