1975 Carpet

Installing new carpet into my new purchase. Someone did a hack job on the last carpet install. The floor carpet does it lay over the seat belt covers or is the carpet cut around the opening and the cover holds the carpet in place?

The carpet goes over the seat belt covers.

Like I said it was a hack job. They cut the carpet around the seat belt well and installed the cover over.
