Default 1972 convertible (3) interior question

It seems that my new purchase did not come with the original interior. It has an interior out of I think a 75 or 76..... by the looks of the seats. My question is when purchasing new seat covers, are the frames for the C3 all the same? Next question, how difficult is it to CLEAN armor all or something like it off of trim pieces to dye or paint?? Last question...Would it be better to just buy new trim pieces??

70-78 seat frames are essentially the same with the exception of possible shouder belt hardware in the seat backs.

Anything to be dyed has to be squeaky clean.

Up to you.

Hi cw,
I agree with Mike that any interior part that you're going to paint or dye needs to be absolutely as clean as you can get it.
I do think that working with your existing interior pieces IF they FIT well is better than buying new parts because interior trim parts are notorious for LOOKING nice on the work bench and FITTING extremely poorly.
Regards,
Alan
