Wondering how many of you take your T-Tops when you're able to go without them on the car? Do you take them or leave them at home? For me.. I always would rather store them in the garage, but wonder if I should take them....just in case?
I try not to go out if weather could get bad so I leave them at home a lot. Got baked one day from the intense sun, wish I had them that day lol. And in a parking lot you take the chance of bird crap or some kids spit landing inside your car.
So do you guys just have good covers for them and just stack em on top of one another in the back ? Seems to me there should've been a "rack" or some designated storage for these tops. Paint could/would get damaged real easy!!!!!
The V-54 carrier setup on my 80 works great. I always have my tops with the car for all sorts of good reasons. I've used it for short cruises and for extended interstate trips. No issues at all.
Once it actually warms up the roofs go off and stay in their holders (that;s them over against the wall)

Then they stay off (I do have a set of AM tops that I but in the back if an evening cruise looks a little sketchy)
And if it's a longer drive to who know where for who knows how long...

So I guess the answers are yes no and kind-of

I wish I could find a set of those AM tops but I never have any luck.
I usually always leave the tops on now. With no AC, having the windows down, the tops on, and the back window removed (conversion) it really is pretty comfortable even on the hottest days.
Will never be as nice as ac, but its not that bad.

I always take 'em with. Sometimes a short drive ends up becoming a long road trip!
I got one of those padded bags to protect them when they're stuffed behind the seat. (Ecklers I think)
I have the covers and use them. Once you get caught out and have to park under an overpass until a shower passes, you tend to take them with you. Maybe in a dryer climate than the Midwest you could get away with it.

Well, uh, I guess I take them with me. As a matter of fact they haven't been removed in years. The back window always goes with me too. It goes with me in the storage tray. A removable window cannot be over estimated.
Prefer to leave them at home...but not in the garage, they go in the room with the special couch, actually are laid on the couch; no one sits on it anyway...
I have one of those suitcase storage units that on occasion, should I pull the tops out while cruising, they are protected very well in.
