Tach/Speedo Restore Recommendations
I need to restore the tach and speedo for my 70. I want to restore them to zero time and refresh the faded faceplates. For 70's, I think the numbers on the speedo and tach were a white color with a faint greenish tint. I have the originals and some ebay used units, but I can't see the greenish tint...maybe they all have faded?...maybe senile eye problems?
I have a 6500 rpm tach, purchased from ebay, which I assume came out of a LT1...not my 70 BB. The red/yellow bands are faded. I have the original odometer and a used one from what I think was that LT1. I'd like to have the faceplates repainted with fresh faintly greenish colors and I'd like to have all the bushings checked for wear and freshly lubricated.
Any recommendations or comments? Thanks.

For now, the tach and speedo restore are the tall poles in the tent for restoring the interior. With these units renewed, I can install the drivers side dash panel. Which means installing the air conditioning duct from the Classic Air AC and then re-installing the steering column. The steering column was removed to install a hydro boost and renew clutch/brake pedal bushings on the brake/clutch assembly. While the steering was out, I replaced it's lower bearing...it was surprisingly in bad condition..rusted, etc...supposedly a California car. Job and family responsibilities are an annoying impediment to my car projects!

Wrong forum Bro.
Locally though, I would check out North Hollywood Speedometer. They seem to have a decent reputation. I also think there is somebody in the Newhall, Santa Clarita area that restores vintage instruments.
Good Luck and let me know, I'll be going through this down the road.
