68 L36 fuel hose
Hey everyone, recently bought a a 68 vert w/ a 390 hp 427(Ill post some pics soon). Having a great time with it a have been searching the forums and doing my best to take advantage of the awesome knowledge base available here. Ive fixed a few of the "repairs" that the PO did such as getting the wipers working, getting rid of the electric cooling fan and fixing the headlamps and am now in the process of removing the electric fuel pump he added. Before I order some parts I have a quick question, on a 390 hp 427 in 68 was the fuel hose from the frame to the fuel pump a molded "S" hose or was it a regular straight hose? Additionally, were the hose clamps used spring clamps or screw type? Thanks in advance and thanks for all the other info on the forum.

I don't have a '68 A.I.M. to look up the info you need. But, I believe that you need the "S" hose and the clamps were the squeeze-type band clamps.
But, you should get a copy of the A.I.M. and also a Chevrolet Chassis Service Manual for 1968. With those in hand, you have about all the info you really need to do nearly everything on your car.

My car had an electric fuel pump when I got it. I replaced it with a stocker. I am not sure if it is correct, but I used the S hose. If you use a straight hose, just make sure it is not kinked.
