I grew up in my dad's '60. Tasco Turquoise/ Turquoise interior, white coves, and soft top.

There is almost an identical '60 same colors about 4 blocks from my house that has sat in the guys garage for 12 years and the guy said he feels it it worth in the $30K range with a little work it could be $50k….IT is not a $30K car, it is easily a $50K as is. Both tops, all original, it runs, nice paint, it has a built 283 (not stock) and a 4 speed. It needs carpet as it has none but as far everything else..it is there and in great shape. I really want to buy it and give it to my dad.

The guy lost his family in a car crash and has lost interest in it, and he said he would be more interested in a car that I thought was worth far less than his '60. I am really thinking about trying to make some sort of deal.

The Vette of my dreams would have to be a 70 - 72 Convertible

My 68 SB. Bought it in 1973 or 1974. Extensively retro mod'd the car with a ZZ4, TKO Trannie, Toms, etc...mint interior and repro parts in the interior...now needs a paint job. The ZZ4 Hot Cam engine is 405 HP? Don't think I'm getting this much HP, since the 69 factory sidepipe exhausts are very restrictive, I've been told. But, I estimate the car weight as about 2800 lbs!! A lot of weight reduction. The factory weight for the 68 convertible SB without AC, etc was 3050 pounds.

My 70 BB. I want to duplicate and surpass my 69 BB that was stolen. This is a project car that I keep continually adding to since 1995. More than 1/2 towards completion. 502 Keith Black aluminum Block, Brodix heads, TKO 600 tranny, Tom's super 10 bolt rear end, new repro interior, air vintage AC, etc. With an all aluminum BB, and composite rear springs, aluminum wheels, aluminum radiator...I think this car will be relatively light...but will I ever be able to complete the car!..t

08 Coupe, base engine, but otherwise all options including the leather interior option ($$$$). A&A Supercharger...580 rwhp at 6500 rpm...assuming 15% trannie/diff losses, this is about 670 flywheel hp. Another $$$$. Pretty cautious about driving this car. It's a centrifugal supercharger and below 2000 rpm, the car drives pretty much stock and gets pretty much stock fuel mileage. Keeping the engine below 2000 rpm, I can still blow off almost any car on the street or freeway..that is blow them off with stock performance. I've had some less than pedal to the metal accelerations up to 3000 rpm. This is where the supercharger rally starts working. Acceleration and nose lift of the car is awesome when you power the car the 3000 rpm threshold. Its an auto trannie, and there's a concern about spinning the rear wheels at freeway speeds at auto shift points. The shift paddles have to be used at full power accelerations. I was told that at high engine rpm, the supercharger would overwhelm the Corvette anti-wheel spin protection.

I like my '81. It needs a big block in it though.

Living the dream right now with the `82. Probably coulda had a choice of most years, but have a personal connection with that milestone year, it is an indescribably fantastic cruiser, long on my `bucket list', my wife loves it too, and no chrome bumpers to pit. Uh oh, did I say that? Sorry.

Fact is, they all, every single year of this legendary piece of rolling art, are on somebody's bucket list and for a good reason. God I love this hobby, and the great/helpful people on this forum.

Dave
p.s. Brandon's - your Orange `72 is gorgeous. How far do you tow it on that dolly? A lot of parts are turning with the rear wheels on the pavement in a C3, so wondering how far you comfortably go in a stretch?

The one I just bought. Has EVERYTHING (well, nearly everything). This is the car I wanted when I was a kid. Vette #7 for me, and my last. I'd change nothing..well, maybe a chevy crate ZL1 engine if I could afford it..but I'm happy with the CNC 415ci 551hp beast..and the wife loves it too.

What modifications to the engine bay would be required to make a big block fit? Just curious.

1969 L-88 convertible... Can Am white, black interior.

I know where the car is, I just can't afford it!

I had my opportunity to own a couple of L-88 coupes, but for one reason or another could never put a deal together. Sadly, I think any legitimate chance of owning one has long since passed.

Regards,

Stan Falenski

My 1980, but actually finished... Cyber Grey Exterior, Black Interior, Black Rally Rims w/ "disc break" center caps, no beauty ring...

And since we are dreaming.. I guess a new turn key LSA engine would fit the bill.

Sure would make the car one hell of a cruiser!

You don't like yellow? I think the color is nice. But if you are not keeping it, you should repaint it Ontario Orange! Ontario Orange is a "magical" color, it changes tones. It is stunning in the sun. I just really like it

I just had mine repainted. Not all of the pics are of the new paint job.

Wow beautiful!
