Default My dream vette.

I have had a few, 61, 73 roadster. 77. 94, 99 convertible and an 80. I plan on buying another either next summer or the next.
The one I will be looking for will be the one I have always wanted. A 68 to 72 convertible either red or blue, maybe black. Black interior and a 4 speed. Preferably a big block or an LT-1. And of course a 4 speed. I will add some Hooker sidepipes and probably change the wheels and tires. If a BB maybe a little work to the motor. I have a picture in my mind of how it will sit and look. Thats my dream for now.


What is the corvette you have always wanted. If you don't have it now.

1972's are the best!


I really love the soft top C3s.



….Is it wrong that I actually love the convertibles with the tops up? Ive had convertibles before but I never really put the tops down as I love the look of the contrasting colors and materials.

I now have a 1961. But I once had a 1972 Bryar Blue Coupe. I absolutely love that color on a Corvette.

So, when I get another C3, it will be a Bryar Blue, convertible, LT1 or ZR1 ( we are dreaming right ? )

Someday... 63 Split Window 340HP.. a 69 L71 and a 70 LT1..

Till then i'll enjoy my 71 LS5...

You don't like yellow? I think the color is nice. But if you are not keeping it, you should repaint it Ontario Orange! Ontario Orange is a "magical" color, it changes tones. It is stunning in the sun. I just really like it

I just had mine repainted. Not all of the pics are of the new paint job.

For me the dream I guess is a 66 L72 coupe.

Although I must say if I could go back in time and order my 70 L-46 new I would get it almost as it is, except with an LS-5 instead. Cortez Silver on a Bright Blue interior is just awesome in person.

Brandon, what size tires are on your 72 - are they 255/60? Look good.

I would love to recreate a L88, ZL1, or ZR2 roadster using a crate big block, 5 speed trans, and updated suspension with some 17" period correct wheels.
if I went the C2 route a Grand Sport replica.

I wish I knew offhand, the car is in 2 hours away so I can't go look at it real quick. When I can I will try to figure out and let you know.

My dream Corvette is a bone stock all original `69 ragtop, bright red, black interior, 427, 4 speed. Must be in showroom condition, low mileage and mechanically 100%. I would also keep my `76. I love the darn thing. Sometimes.

The one Vette that I have not had and really would like to own is a 90-95 ZR-1. Great cars and a high level of performance for it's era or any era.

Outside of chrome bumper C3s, I'd like to slide behind the factory spoked steering wheel of a '67 L-88 coupe. Any color.

Only a dream but one worth revisiting. Sigh...

After getting a few hairy rides in a friends 69 427/500 as a teenager vowed one day i would get a Vette.
Always wanted a BBC C3 Bumper car but $$$ and family were priorities. Found a 73 L82-4spd car and performed a 2 year chassis restoration. After driving it for a while decided needed more power and wanted to save the original motor so now i'm building a 454 to drop in, hope to have it done in a month or so.
Lucky for me the car is a low option model so i don't have to worry about PS, AC, PB etc getting in the way.


Just test fitting some parts here, motor is bored .030, decked, line honed, crank turned .010/.010, ARP Crank studs, rod/head bolts. Speed Pro hypertheutic pistons 30cc dome , procomp oval port heads, 305 cc intake runners, 119cc combustion chambers, 2.25 intake, 1.88 exhaust, 2" Headman Headers, Edelbrock performer intake, Q-jet reworked per Cliff ruggles book/parts, Cam is Crane 272, HEI tach drive distributer.
Not building a 8,000rmp screamer to do road America with just want a nice Torquey street motor that operates in the 1500-5500 rpm range
