I'm seeing various vendors offering "1969 Cruise Control Module", but I don't see that anywhere in the AIM and my recollection is that CC wasn't available till after 1976.
Does anyone know when cruise control was first available?
If there was a factory option for this in 69, can you give me an AIM page? (And if you can I want my money back on the index!)
Today I saw the last page of the Chassis svc man describes something under Specifications/Accessories called cruise master. That's the only actual reference I've yet seen.
GM put cruise controls on lots of models, starting in the early 70's. But, Corvette resisted offering cruise until 1976. The basic units are the same and can be swapped across model lines, easily.
But, I agree that a more modern, electronic unit is better. Rostra sells a nice unit. Or, if you can scrounge-up an AudioVox CCS-100 unit [AudioVox sold out to Rostra], it will work fine, too.
