68 vert - need quick advice
Hey guys
real quick. Neighbor down the road has 68 vert, has some front end damage. I haven't seen the car in 5-6 years and if I remember it was a turd. I don't know the guy I just stopped by one day in my 65 and talked a little after noticing it in the garage
This is all I know right now, 68 convertible. Both tops ? engine ? auto or manual ? I don't know yet
I know more info in a few hours, any how he stopped by little bit ago

Assuming it hasn't been driven in 5-6 years then? That raises lots of issues with making her street worthy again... As we all know...
Is it complete and sitting... Or is it in some state of repair/tear down/restoration?
Are you thinking of fixing her up at all... Or just put a new price tag on her and sell her in time vs quickly like the other owner?
If he's hard up on cash and just needs it gone, some great deals can be made that way... If it's a heap... It'll just become a money pit... Lol. Curious to see whatcha found...

here is some pics. has frame rust pass. side drivers ok. non original motor 327 4 speed. no front end damage as first reported but the cross bar rust out and front end warped .
Again can I make some money on this car. I can pick it for $2k and CL or eBay it . bet eBay $3500 buy it now and be gone yes / no

$2,000 is an OK deal in the condition you speak too. Especially since it is setting so close to you. If it was within 500 miles of me I would sure pay that amount and pretty quick.
But that is not what you are asking now is it. You want to sell it quick and for all the money. It is not a good deal at $3,500 and some guy having to get up either the travel money are the shipping cost's to come and get it. This could add another grand or more to the price so now you are talking about $4,500 or maybe higher. That is double your purchase price. I wouldn't even consider it at $3,500 under those conditions.
