Is this a fuel pump problem?
Yesterday I went to home depot and bam, all of a sudden with the clutch in and foot off the gas, the rpms drop and the car cuts off. It started again after turning over several times. Did it again coming home at the stop light.
I had a remanufactured fuel pump put in last August.

Could be any of the above or even the fuel filter. Could be a burned plug wire or two as well. Next time it dies, take the air filter off and see if you're getting a spurt of fuel when to hit the throttle. At least you can start narrowing it down.

I srarted it up yesterday and let it idle. Doesn't cut off even when I push the clutch in and put it in gear and let it idle.
I also have a pretty strong gas smell in the garage.
