Amazingly no, they felt ok so we packed them and put them back in, 1 1/2 years later they are doing well

In many ways, a mechanic can be worse. At some point in the past, my car must have been owned or "refurbished" by a mechanic. Things were repaired or replaced with no thought towards doing it correctly but simply to make it work. I just discover the other day that my center gauge cluster was from a different year. You don't find that item on too many prepurchse checklists

At the time, being a Vette novice (& just happy to find one for $2500) - imagine my surprise when I finally realized not just the dash, but the entire interior was from a different year..LOL- I have a '73 with the '78-'79 "Bubba Interior Upgrade Package"...

(Ok, it's a freakshow: So far-78 truck engine, front clip, doors & interior...) .... But it is all mine....
