Default NOS Parts

Thought I'd post up here. Im reassembling my 81 and as most know, alot of the plastic parts that reside under the hood are hard to come by due to the heat. I was searching ebay today and found a coolant overflow bottle for 29 bux. It is NOS from the dealer. I was looking at one just abt a month ago at a swap meet that was 40 bux used and abused.
Anyway, the seller is jimbutlerchevrolet on ebay. There are lots of different parts from emblems to arm rests. These may or may not be good deals, I am not affilliated but thought I'd share..

Hi GL,
That sounds like a nice find.
One thing to keep in mind is that parts at the dealer are Service Replacement Parts and even though they may be NOS they may be from a much later date than the production of the car you're buying them for, and may be be slightly different than the part on the car you're replacing.
Because of this each part should be carefully checked and evaluated. A Service Replacement part needed to work in the listed applications, not necessarily be the same part.
This may not matter in some cases but in others it will.
Regards,
Alan

The 77 (late) to 82 overflow bottle, is not an NOS part. Unless it was just discontinued in the last month or two, it's still available from Chevrolet, and $29.00 is about the current list price.

The part number is 473260. Order it from your local dealer, and avoid the freight (but pay the sales tax ).

Not much is still available from Chevrolet, for 82 and earlier Corvettes, but there are some things, still in their system.
