Default Center Gauges Lamp Socket

Okay....what is the deal with getting the correct lamp socket for the center gauges and speedo/tach? I have tried two different suppliers, different part number and mfg...but both end up being the same socket which is too large.
This is for an '81. This is the 1/4 twist-in socket; some are grey, some black, uses a #194 bulb.

Does anyone have the correct lamp socket?

Have tried Dorman 85836...nope
Tried Corvette Central 233064, GM 2973932.....same as above.

Corvette Central also lists a 663223, GM 12009311....is this it?...but lists a different bulb, not the #194.

ARRRGGGHHHH!!!!!

Are you talking about the sockets for the "gray-wired" ones? Corvette Central replacement part number is 661073. They are bigger hard plastic and hard to get on unless you do it just right.

Mel, that socket is for the "Seat Belt" lamp, where there is no wire going to it.

Default socket

try ecklers part number 29192 (Corvette Dash Light Bulb Socket, 1968-1982). for 1/2 inch hole, not 5/8.

I looked at the Willcox part; appears to be the same as the Dorman and the ones I received from Corvette Central...both for a 5/8" hole which are too large.

The Ecklers part number appears to be the correct one...as does the Corvette Central 663223 one. Be nice if the Ecklers one had a picture of the other side showing the contacts.

Thanks for the leads.
