Default Seat Backs... Can they be adjusted?

The 79 Clam Shell seats- Is there anyway to adjust the backs so that they sit up straighter? My wife sits in the seat and all she sees is the t-top.
Any aftermarket addons or any ideas besides a rolled up towel behind the seat?
Any help is appreciated.
thanks

I have added washers underneath the bolts to make the seat backs sit up straighter , you can only go so fat before it will not click when you push the seat back.

Not sure if this is the correct way to accomplish this, nut it worked.

I have a set in my 76 and I put a piece of covered wedge foam behind mine and it makes all the difference in the world. I'm not quite sure how behind the 79 seat area is compared to the 76.

Seat pivot screw washers are listed up to 1978 model year....not sure about 1979.

I have yet to find a good fix for the late C3 seat adjustment. I bought some rubber heater hose, cut lengths to fit, slit the hose, and placed over the lower lip of the clamshell of my '80 seats. The split hose can be doubled to increase the forward tilt. It's not perfect, but the rubber has some give and isn't as obtrusive looking as some other ideas.

One of the posts end up sliding under the other one and locking together.
They seem to be about 3/8 of an inch out of line.

I do not see how to adjust them.

I had the same problem and just resolved it last week. Apparently this is a common problem with C3's.
The problem often is that the adjusters are bent or the frame is cracked/bent. I was able to resolve the issue by repairing (welding) the frame, bending it back into the original shape and using a seat bottom frame reinforcement from Corvette Central. My seats are now at the correct angle, and the adjusters work once again. HOWEVER, I have a '78 and I note that the frame reinforcement is for 70-78 models. I don't know if they can be adapted for a '79 but they worked great for me.

I cut a piece of clear plastic tubing, then split it.
slid it over the bottom piece.

So far so good

A few years ago I took the seats apart and welded them up.
