Thanks again for squeezing me in and installing my power steering Gordon!!! What a difference - and what a great ride home. I wish I got lost and spent more time driving. :roc k:
Patiently waiting my turn for Gordon to lay hands on my car. I am sure he can handle whatever is thrown at him and will only do it the correct way. If only he could clone himself a few times.
Seeing that my car is still up at AR headers and the 79'is done and gone I have an empty garage at the moment. But I am also rebuilding a beach house at LBI so that is time consuming. I can do some small jobs so let me know.
I was able to knock out mikes PS job in a couple of hours today. The job went very well and Mikes car is in nice clean condition so it went very well.
Gordon, Did you get the car in at Jack's yet, or is that scheduled for after the headers?
I assume you know that The Beach Bums show is June 1st, at Bay Village on LBI. Are you going to be back together by then?
Hope to see you there! Glenn
The 79 which is not my car went to Jacks last Friday. He did a good job but it was a little pricey.
If my car was back from the headers I might be able to make LBI but depending on when it gets back I'm not sure on LBI. I will be down there since I am rebuilding our house there but my car may be another issue.

I decided to jump on this thread, rather than start my own, with more accolades for Gordon. It was my '79 that he was working on. He got the am/fm/cb power antenna working through great patience and persistence (not an easy task); got the mechanical clock working (I didn't want the quartz); installed the Borgeson power steering, VB&P suspension and new wheels. The car ran well before the work, but is 100 times better now. It was my car that had the alignment. Yes, pricey, but no complaints from me. Next plan is to increase the HP when Gordon has time, hopefully in September.
The Golden Hands Award for excellence with Corvettes goes to Gordon.

Thanks. Working on your car was/is a pleasure. I'm glad it works to your satisfaction. We will work on the HP this fall. I have to get mine road worthy. It has been to long since I drove it.
Kudos to you Gordon for being that guy that still takes time for others, wish that others in my generation, other than me, had the same philosophy. Sad but true.

I know what that's like. Hope you have it back quickly. If there is anything you need that is within my abilities, just ask.
I still miss my 1967 T'Bird, candyapple red with a black landau top. Bought it new in 1967 for $5,000.00. I had it 8 months and it got totalled by a drunk driver who was not wearing his glasses. He didn't even have his glasses with him but the cop said he couldn't give him a ticket because he (the cop) did not see him driving and he might have had glasses on and then thrown them down a sewer. Can't argue with that logic! Anyway, I'm there for you if you need anything.
