19S717251 is the VIN derivitive stamp for 1969 Corvette #17251 assembled in February 1969, very near the end of the month. What is your time/build code?.
T0220MK indicates a 1969 Corvette big block assembled at Tonawanda on February 20, 400hp, 4 speed with tranistor ignition.
Differential number is the casting number.
No help on the differential code of OK.

So did you use a site to get the info? I Google and found nothing showing the numbers.

I have 76' and wondered what rear end I had for sure! I got under it and OK on mine, I looked it up in a book I have, it came up as a 1978 3.08.
Hope it helps.
Larry
I am not familiar with the 69 and don't have a spec book. I thought that earlier c3s were stamped differently but I am no expert. Looked here and OK is not showing except for 81.

I'm not sure but I spoke to the original owner this morning who is a friend of mine. He assured me the rear is original and the only part ever removed from the car was the transmission which he removed and had the synchronizers replaced the installed it back himself.

Reason: duplicated line

Mike in my Chilton repair manual it says that Ok was also used in 81' with 2.72 with manual transmission.

Last night I wrote down all the numbers from the differential. Some point to it being a 69 rear BUT like it has been said the OK only points to a 78 rear. This is extremely aggravating to me. My friend is a very respectable guy, non-drinker etc. Has had the car since new, I have the original title showing 0 miles. He is very honest and it took me 14 years to buy the car so its not like he was trying to sell it. He was adamant that the only part every removed was the transmission. I do believe he is telling me what he perceives to be the truth and if you met him you would understand this to be true. BUT I am also a realist that the numbers don't lie. He was in a Corvette Club since 69 so MAYBE someone stole the rear and replaced it? I mean I'm really grasping at straws but WTF else can I say?
As the owner at the time, wouldn't your friend have known the rear was stolen?
My advice would be to try to run down the OK code, but not lose sleep over it.
Well I am a drinker and probably considered a heavy drinker so I hear crap about it. Personally it means nothing to me. The issue for me is that he is positive it was never removed. The car sat from 1985 till I bought it under several layers of covers.
Gotcha, saw that last night, off hand remembering back I THINK it was A21 7
then you have a rear end casing cast in January 21 1977 and the rear end was built and put together mid sept 1977 with an eaton posi unit with 3:08 gears. They made this same rear end casting for more than a decade.
it could possible be a 1967 but OK code is not a valid 1967 code
OK used in a 78 3:08.
I don't think that I could be convinced that this is an original rear end for a 69 corvette.
are 3:08 gears in it now?
now check the date code of your engine block and hope for not another surprise.. it is back behind your distributor.
