Two years of work, first day of vacation, ten miles from home, rear ended while stopped in traffic on the freeway, by an electric F...ing car, 24 gallons of fuel lost on freeway. Nobody hurt, not physically anyway.
So very sorry for the crash, it just makes me sick to hear about this, looks like you had a very nice car, I hope you can repair it back to the way it was.

What a drag! Looking at the pics, the damage doesn't seem to go past the bumper. Maybe this can be the opportunity to put a late C3 flip tail (but only if you want to!).
Thanks everyone. Yes the only good part of this is no one was hurt. The car will be in the shop for weeks. Yesterday I spent most of the day finding a bumper cover. Now we wait for it to ship from Florida to Seattle. In the last two years the car has had three different motors and three transmissions. I converted it to TPI and a 700R4, I did everything by myself. Now the car is in someone else's garage and people I do not know are touching it. Wow I have separation anxiety!! The spare tire clam shell is inside the car behind the seats I am waiting to see if someone calls to ask how to get it out of the car, or if they figure out the T-tops.
Sucks all that hard work and long awaited cruise resulted in an accident! Hope the shop takes care of you in short order so you can still have a decent driving season!

Nice! Glad it is all better. I hope they did a good job and the insurance company was easy to deal with. Now get out there and drive. You are two months behind!
