Default Distributor Problem Even Lars Couldn't Fix

I was playing with the vacuum can and advance springs on my 70 BB. The car ran well, but I'm the type of guy that can't leave well enough alone. Buttoned it up and hit the starter-crank, crank, crank-nada, nothing not even a cough!? "Now what", I said to myself(along with a few other choice words). Sat there and thought and thought. Nothing came to mind. Then I glanced over at my bench, and there sat the rotor! SOB!
Getting older and more forgetful every day!

It does make the engine a little hard to start.

Don't you just love it when you find the exact cause of the problem?

Love that feeling.

Even with tools that are looking right at you after you searched for 15 mins for it.

Lars could fix it but putting on the drive gear upside down can cause problems. Strange how GM made that possible. Don't ask me how I know.

"Distributor Problem Even Lars Couldn't Fix"

I thought you were going to say an 18 wheeler backed over your distributor, if Lars couldn't fix it!

The same thing happened to a friend of mine way back in H.S. to his '57 Olds, bad thing was that no one noticed the rotor sitting on the bench for 3 days, yep he did manage to pass the class ? Peace,,, moosie
