They ALL have issues!!! 1968 through 1982. All of them. Period. They are all little b!tches, that end up owning you, not you owning them. They will pull money out of your wallet regularly. That's just the way it is.
Also as I said it will be gradually going up I just want the capibility of 600+ not saying I'll go that far just go up until I find what's right for me
I know they all will have problems I'm wondering for example will a 73 have a ton more problems than a 71 maybe the transmission for that year was not made as well, and i understand horsepower isn't everything I just like a lot of it, it's fun to mess around with

600 is far, far more than necessary to have fun with. One of our forum members has a high horsepower car, that has had a lot of problems (and fun, too I'm sure) and even he'll tell you, 300 hp, is plenty fun. My 300+ hp can get it sideways, lay down fifty feet of rubber with the posi and pull hard through all the gears. What more could you want? Find yourself a 1973 to 1975 with a L48 or L82 and a four speed, that runs well and believe me, you will have a grin on your face.
As far as problems, they're all different for different years. Nothing major between any of them, except for the design, as an example, the 68-72's have an additional vacuum system do deal with the wiper door, where the 73's and up, don't. The powertrains are fine, between all of them. The 1982 has the advantage of being fuel injected AND having an overdrive automatic and gets excellent MPG on the freeway. Pick your poison and be happy with it, I say. Buy the best C3 you can afford, in the best condition. A C3 is a C3, I don't care what year it is. A Corvette is always a Corvette and again, I don't care what year it is. I have a 1995 C4 that I love for long trips, speed and comfort, which my C3 will never match.
