Default Cannot completely remove Power Window motor.

Hi there -

I'm trying to remove and replace my PW motor.

The window has been stuck in the up position.

I used a soft rubber clamp on each end of the window to keep/brace the window up.

I removed the 3 bolts and the motor is flopping around, but its pinion gear is hung up on the regulator (maybe 1/4") and won't clear. Please see pic.

Is there a way or trick to wiggle worm the motor to clear this obstacle? - or did I miss a step? Any help would be appreciated.

UPDATE: I was able to remove the old motor by gently prying up on this area with a large screw driver (see pic) while wiggling the motor upwards and outward.

Just loosen or remove the bolt that attaches the lower half of the regulator assay. Then you will be able to easily remove the window lift motor.

Appreciate the reply. New motor is in and the interior panel is all buttoned up. I'll use your tip when the passenger side needs replacing. Thanks again.
