If you know nothing about all the little "IDIOTSYNCRISES" of a C3 you'd best beg , borrow, or kidnap someone to go with you that does, dont buy on emotion, the wrong car can be a money pit. Buy the best one you can afford, & enjoy it.

Not trying to talk you out of it, but..
I would really not recommend one of these cars for somebody's first car or only car.
Glad you are interested in them, though. I would really look at something that might not be as cool, but cheaper and more reliable to operate. Keep your love for the corvette, and learn about them and then take your time finding the right one.
