Grille Mounting Help
I have been working on my 68 Vette and the front grille mounts are confusing me. I got it back from the paint shop, but seem to be missing some mounts somewhere. I have the two outer mounts for the outer grilles, but was told the mounts for the center grille attach to the outer grille as well. I got another center grille and mounts, but cannot figure out where or how it all mounts. My Assembly manual does not show a good or clear picture of how the grilles mount, and or what they mount to. The picture loaded is what I have left of the outer grilles. It looks like it just bolts to the body on the lower valance, but that cant be right? I know the tabs for the inner mounts have been removed, but is there another bracket is mounts to?
The other shot is looking down at the front cross member from above the headlight actuators.
