What brings you to the conclusion to rewire everything?

No disrespect, but you're looking at 33 year old parts. You can replace all of the wiring with good quality reproduction wiring harnesses by LectricLimited. You will find it to be very expensive.

I can't imagine that the interior wiring is in such bad shape, unless the car was left out in the weather for many years...with the top open. The dash wiring is very well protected from the elements. If it has been 'butchered' by BUBBA over the years, it would surely be repairable with normal wire splicing methods.

If the engine compartment wiring is in bad shape, those harnesses can be swapped out much more easily than the interior/rear wiring.

My recommendation is to only repair what NEEDS to be repaired. Unless the insulation is falling off the original wiring, just repair as needed.

P.S. You would likely not accept the charges for an electrician to replace all of your wiring. That could possibly cost you more than purchasing a replacement car.
